Ethics and transparency are the fundamental pillars on which our corporate governance is built, enabling us to work every day with a strong ethical commitment, responsibility and compliance with the law.
In this context, the implementation of a Criminal Compliance System is a strategic decision aimed at protecting the organisation, the people who make it up and the sustainability of the business.
The evolution of legal regulations (Organic Law 1/2015, of 30 March, amending Organic Law 10/1995, of 23 November, of the Criminal Code), as well as, more importantly, the interpretations that case law and the courts have been making in light of the new cases that have arisen, together with the compiling and codifying effort of bodies such as the Spanish Association for Standardisation through its UNE standards, led us to thoroughly review our previous model, presenting our current Criminal Compliance Management System (SGCP) which enables us to structure, in a more uniform and standardised way, all the risks and controls that affect criminal compliance within our company’s processes.
In accordance with UNE 19.601:2025, the SGCP provides the framework to assess and improve a management system aimed at preventing and detecting criminal risks. This system not only strengthens our legal protection, but also helps to generate and consolidate an organisational culture based on integrity, responsibility and compliance—key elements for trust, competitiveness and the continuity of the business project. In this way, the System integrates Due Diligence procedures into the company’s main processes, such as those related to the finance, commercial and sales areas, purchasing and supplier relations, as well as human resources, making it possible to strengthen the controls we already had and to manage, more operationally, the level of risk of each of our operations from the outset.
We have been demonstrating this since its implementation in 2020, being the first Spanish food company certified under the UNE 19601 standard. A certification that we have just renewed in 2026, covering all our sites, and on the basis of which we work with the firm purpose of extending it to the rest of the companies in the Grupo Central Lechera Asturiana.
The key element of the SGCP, since its signing and communication in 2015, is the Code of Ethics, which always guides our ongoing commitment to improvement to ensure that the entire company’s conduct, in both its internal and external relations, is in line with the ethical expectations demanded by society. This Code has undergone several reviews and updates, the most recent being in December 2025, when its extension to cover the entire Grupo Central Lechera Asturiana was approved.
