- Budget: €238,076.30
- Grant: €189,306.81.
- Project type: INNOVATION OPERATIONAL GROUPS.
- Partners: CTIC, LILA, ASCOL, CLAS SAT.
Summary: The FUTURE project will conduct a pioneering study in Asturias, collecting data from livestock farms to measure milk quality, animal health and methane emissions. The data obtained is combined with information on feeding and farm typology to develop an intelligent analysis tool. The objective is to analyze farms by providing recommendations to improve product differentiation and reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

GEPROCAR: development and implementation of tools based on remote sensors for the management of agroforestry property aimed at achieving a carbon-neutral dairy sector (GOP/11/2023)
Funding entity: Grant co-financed by the European Agricultural Fund for Rural Development (EAFRD), the Principality of Asturias and the Ministry of Agriculture, Fisheries and Food.
- Total CLAS SAT grant: €60,602.03.
- Total grant: €191,148.90.
Execution period: 2023-2025.
Summary: This Operational Group seeks to provide solutions to the problems associated with livestock activity in terms of its high impact on the carbon footprint caused by livestock management and agricultural management in pasture production. The operational group includes CLAS SAT (Central Lechera Asturiana SAT), COAPA (Union of Agri-Food Cooperatives of Asturias) and CETEMAS (Technological and Wood Center).
In this project, different algorithms based on remote sensor data will be developed with the objective of obtaining a solid cartographic base for the sustainable management of agroforestry property. In this way, work will be carried out on the automatic detection of coverage typologies, nitrogen deficiencies and quantification of carbon stock, which will serve as a basis for decision-making in terms of mitigation and adaptation to climate change, through the management of forestry systems, silvopastoral systems, grasslands and the promotion of joint property management practices.
General objective: Development of a property management tool, based on Geographic Information Systems, that allows for more efficient and sustainable management of agroforestry resources in terms of climate and environment.
