Central Lechera Asturiana is Spain’s largest dairy cooperative. Since 1969, we have been working to guarantee the future of our partner farmers and contribute to the sustainable development of our region.
Our activity focuses on providing agricultural services to livestock farms, with the aim of fostering their profitability through optimizing transport, food safety, animal welfare, and respect for the environment.
With a network of more than 6,000 associated farmers and a team of over 1,300 professionals, Grupo Central Lechera Asturiana transforms the raw material from our farms into natural products and healthy solutions that reach millions of people.
OUR HISTORY
2025
Acquisition of an additional 20% of INNOLACT, S.L. (QUESCREM), reaching 60% ownership of the company.
2024
Acquisition of 40% of INNOLACT S.L. (QUESCREM), a Galician dairy company specializing in cream cheese.
2023
Acquires 100% of the capital of Lácteas Flor de Burgos, S.L., strengthening its commitment and presence in the cheese market.
2022
The first attached cap for cartons is launched, anticipating the Waste Law of July 2024, and the “Carbon Neutral” carton is introduced.
2021
The first “Net Zero Emissions” bottle is launched on the market.
2020
First dairy company to obtain B CORP certification.
First Spanish company to achieve AENOR CERTIFICATION for “Carbon Neutrality” and “Zero Waste” across all its factories, as well as for its “Circular Economy Strategy”.
50% of Lácteas Flor de Burgos S.L. is acquired.
2019
CAPSA VIDA (Investment Vehicle for Food Development) is launched to strengthen activity in rural areas and the field of health and sustainability in future healthy eating.
2018
Livestock Guarantee Seal.
The Company celebrates its 50th anniversary.
Visit from HM the King on the occasion of the 50th Anniversary.

We have no E’s in 98% of our products. We are the only dairy brand with 100% natural products.

2001
CAPSA carries out the merger by absorption of the company Yogures Andaluces, S.A., and through its factory in Seville, begins manufacturing its products to supply the Southern market.
1997
Corporación Alimentaria Peñasanta, S.A. carries out the merger by absorption of the companies LARSA and ATO, an operation through which it acquires a significant presence in the territory of Catalonia and Galicia.
CAPSA begins to take shape.
1995
The company is renamed CORPORACIÓN ALIMENTARIA PEÑASANTA, S.A.
1992
Central Lechera Asturiana S.A.T. agrees to increase the share capital in the company Distribuidora Murciana de Lácteos, S.L., move its domicile to Asturias, and change its name to “Lácteos Gijón”. This can be considered the launch of the current Corporación Alimentaria Peñasanta.
1969
Central Lechera Asturiana SAT, parent company of Corporación Alimentaria Peñasanta, launches the first non-returnable plastic bottle and inaugurates the Granda factory, which would later become one of CAPSA’s main factories.
1967
The Sindical Group of Colonization No. 9608 Central Lechera Asturiana is founded, the origin of Central Lechera Asturiana Sociedad Agraria de Transformación No. 471 Resp. Ltda (CLAS SAT).
