Grupo Central Lechera Asturiana, through its company CAPSA FOOD, sealed the purchase of an additional 20% of the capital of the company “INNOLACT S.L” (Quescrem) last week, via the acquisition of shares from some of its founding partners and a capital increase, reaching 60% of it. In July 2024, the dairy company had acquired the other 40% from other minority shareholders.

This operation, part of Grupo Central Lechera Asturiana’s Strategic Plan, will serve to continue boosting its cheese business and reinforcing the process initiated with INNOLACT S.L in the middle of last year, thanks to the synergies that exist between both companies and the joint work developed throughout these months. Innovation, the generation of added value, and the internationalization of Quescrem are strengths that have been key to driving the operation by the Asturian dairy group.

This increase in the Grupo Central Lechera Asturiana’s stake will not affect the organization, as management will remain in the hands of the current executive team of INNOLACT, S.L., led by founding partner and CEO Sergio Martinez.

In recent years, INNOLACT S.L. has been carrying out an ambitious Strategic Plan involving significant investments in its new factory in Castro Riberas de Lea (Lugo) to meet its continuous sales growth, the launch of new products, and the development of innovative digitalization and sustainability projects. Between 2022 and 2024, the company invested more than 12 million euros, and in the 2025-2026 period, it plans to carry out investments exceeding 5 million euros.
