Sustainability and quality of life for our farmers

Purchase and price guarantee at origin

We are committed to collecting all the milk produced by our partner farmers, paying them a higher average price compared to the Spanish average price.

Agricultural Insurance

Partner farmers benefit from free collective insurance, which provides additional support for their activities, reducing the costs of their livestock farms.

TAGEL Program

The Livestock Farm Management Dashboard (TAGEL) supports farmers by advising them on business decision-making.

Scholarships for their children

All partner farmers have the possibility of obtaining scholarships for their children’s studies, which, in addition to being financial aid, can contribute to the professionalization of livestock farms through the application of acquired knowledge.

Substitution service

Due to the daily work and effort involved in farming, Central Lechera Asturiana SAT offers this service, which allows farmers to be substituted and receive support so they can rest or cover unforeseen events, aiming to reconcile their work with their personal lives.

Distribution of Dividends among partner farmers

Central Lechera Asturiana SAT distributes the company’s profits among partner farmers proportionally to their social participation, helping them ensure the sustainability of their farms.

Manure management, treatment, and valorization service

This service aims to offer farmers a solution to the problem of managing manure from their farms, valorizing this waste through the Biogastur treatment plant for its conversion into electrical energy, biomethane (from 2025), and organic amendment, allowing part of the waste to be reintroduced as high-quality fertilizer.

Livestock care and milk quality control

Nutrition Program

Aimed at offering farmers personalized advice on livestock nutrition.

Livestock Health Defense Program

A service for farmers to implement a health program aimed at combating diseases stipulated by legislation, so that farmers become the primary guarantors of herd health.

Podiatry Service

Aimed at ensuring animal welfare. Central Lechera Asturiana SAT offers this preventive service, through which the hooves of cows are cared for, also preventing the development of diseases.

Reproductive Control Program

Consists of veterinarians carrying out reproductive and fertility control of livestock when requested by the farmer.

Milk Quality Control Program

Aimed at improving milk quality parameters through facility and equipment reviews and analysis of milk produced on farms. In 2022, a hygiene audit was added to this service, carried out on all active farms to ensure that milking and storage facilities are properly maintained.

Cooling tanks

Central Lechera Asturiana manages their purchase to provide them free of charge to partner farmers, also offering free maintenance and repair services.

Good Hygiene Practices Program

This program seeks to review the status of hygiene practices on farms through on-site audits based on a checklist, as well as communicating the results (including corrective actions and observations) to farmers, with a view to improving these practices.

Animal Welfare Program

This program seeks to review the status of practices followed on farms that affect animal welfare, through on-site audits based on a checklist, as well as communicating the results (including observations and recommendations, if deemed necessary by the auditor) to farmers, with a view to improving these practices.

Environmental protection and natural care

Optimization and savings in energy consumption

Through this service, farmers are advised on how to reduce electricity consumption on their farms, resulting in energy savings and a reduction in environmental impact.

Optimization of collection routes

With the aim of reducing pollution and its environmental impact, Central Lechera Asturiana works to optimize routes to collect the maximum volume of milk with the shortest possible journey.
